In Bulgarian national identity Spring is related to many traditions and celebrations. In the cultural life of our school we recognize holidays as Tsvetnitsa, Vrabnitsa, Easter and the most important one – The Day of Cyrillic Alphabet, Bulgarian Enlightment and Culture. On the event day you would be able to admire songs, presentations, wreath twining, games and finely balanced educational and friendship building activities.
April 9, 2017 is Tsvetnitsa! According to tradition the Bulgarian Voices of Seattle with conductor Mary Sherhart will be guests at the school with their full repertoire from 11:30 am till 1:00 pm. In regard to the occasion and tо make it even more magical for all kids, we invite all parents and guests to bring real flowers – tulips, hyacinths, daffodils… We will twine wreaths while we sing! The doors at the school are open for all our family guests and school friends.
You can find below web links with photos from previous Tsvetnitsa celebrations at the Bulgarian School of Seattle in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Our experience show that our school community respects the place of the holidays as a measure of preserving the traditions and heritage memory and to create long-lasting heart felt memories for all children to follow.
