Bulgarian for Native Speakers – First Grade


The training of the Bulgarian language and literature of children attending schools abroad is realized in accordance to the national educational standards and curricula, defining the parameters of the educational content taught in Bulgaria.


In the first grade, these standards and curricula are aimed at improving the skills of students to use the Bulgarian language in verbal communication, while constantly enriching their conventional vocabulary and practicing correct pronunciation and proper grammatical construction of linguistic units. In this grade, the main task is the mastery of literacy, reading and writing, in Bulgarian. Furthermore, the students learn certain pronunciation, graphic, spelling, and grammatical rules of the Bulgarian language, enabling them to reach clarity and precision of expression. The presentation of short literarily texts from Bulgarian literature written for children provide improvement of reading comprehension and achievement of moral and emotional impact.
