Students begin to communicate in the target language through interpersonal speaking and writing, presentational speaking and writing, and interpretive reading and listening. Class will be conducted primarily in Bulgarian with a goal of helping each student become a competent communicator. Vocabulary will focus on greetings, school, shopping, foods, clothes, and travel and leisure time activities. Students will expand their understanding of culture by studying various aspects of the Slavic world.
