Dear Bulgarian School of Seattle Community,

I would like to provide an update regarding the national coordinator position at the Bulgarian School of Seattle.

Throughout these past two months, there was an intensive search in finding the right person for the leadership position. Beginning December 1st, 2017, Hope St. John has joined the Bulgarian School of Seattle community as the new National Coordinator. Hope is a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Washington. As an anthropologist, her current research uses qualitative research methods to explore socio-spatial relations in contemporary Chinese cities. As the National Coordinator at the Bulgarian School of Seattle, she works to facilitate and support the work of the school’s educators. In her spare time, she also enjoys practicing digital and film photography.

“Language is such an important part of how we relate to the world. I think it’s important that people have the opportunity to learn languages like Bulgarian that are less commonly taught. I’m happy to be a part of a group like the Bulgarian School of Seattle that works to give people access to these kinds of language-learning resources.”

Hope is anxious to meet with you. Thank you in advance for welcoming Hope St. John to our community: HopeStJohn@bulgarianschoolofseattle.com

  Sincerely,

 Angela Hasheva
